Chester Eastside Ministries’ (CEM) YouthPLACE will hold a special event April 8 to honor Chester High School students who have successfully completed the Life Skills Mentoring & Arts Program [a partnership with the Chester Upland School District] and to appreciate the work of Ms. Wanda Moore, past director of Peace in the Streets/Peace on Earth (PSPE). The theme of the evening is: “Making A Difference: Our Youth, Our Families, Our Community.”
The free event starts at 7:30pm (6:30 hors d'œuvre).
The featured speaker, Ewuare X. Osayande is a political activist, award-winning author, cultural analyst, poet, essayist, publisher and Internet radio talk-show host. Osayande is creator and host of “The Resistance,” a bi-weekly Internet talk.
YouthPLACE, grows out of the shared vision of Chester Eastside Ministries’ Pastor/Director Bernice Warren, the ministries’ Board and PSPE.
