Chester Defeats Penn Wood 71-65

The Chester basketball team is making me look like a genius. And the real geniuses at  Middle Atlantic Sports were on point when they ranked Chester #2 in the state, well above Penn Wood.
As I said after their last performance, the talented and long Clippers have to do better rebounding and defending around the basket, and they must score off their defense.
Tonight, they did just that.
I wasn’t keeping stats, but Chester at least matched the bigs of Penn Wood on the boards while challenging every shot they attempted at the basket.
Chester’s defense took advantage of the weak Penn Wood backcourt and scored at least 20 points on their turnovers.
Sadly, Chester was horrible on the foul line, so they still have to get that together if they expect success in the playoffs.
