Senior guard Charles Swiggett (Chester, Pa./Chester) was named the Commonwealth Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. This was Swiggett's third weekly honor after he was named the Player of the Week on Dec. 6th.
Swiggett averaged 20.5 points through three games this week, while tallying seven assists and team-high five steals. Swigget continued to improve his shooting percentage from the floor and the line, while serving Alvernia as a true lock down defender. He took Messiah's leading scorer, David Fernandez completely out of the game holding him to two points and just 13 minutes (without foul trouble).
Swiggett is currently leading the Commonwealth Conference with 22.5 points and 3.0 steals per game.

Is he out of school or off the team?
