Chester Friends of Haiti (C.F.O.H.) hosts “A Taste of Haiti” Fundraiser and Special Thanks ceremony for all those who have supported C.F.O.H.’s earthquake relief initiatives.
Chester, PA, August 31, 2010: On September 18, 2010 from 12pm - 4pm, Chester Friends of Haiti will host of “A Taste of Haiti,’’ a free special evening of thanks detailing the religious, political, and financial background and history of Haiti. The public is invited to “A Taste of Haiti,” which will feature Haitian food and music, plus guest speaker Marline Olivier, Founder/Executive Director of HOPEH, Inc. (Haitian Organization Program for Education and Health). The event will be held at Chester Eastside Ministries, 420 E. Ninth St., Chester.
Friends of Haiti is a local group organized to assist with the daily living conditions including educational and medical issues facing the nation of Haiti. C.F.O.H. was formed in 2000 and works closely with HOPEH, Inc., a non-profit organization, that is located in Juampas, Haiti, and was founded by Haitian native Olivier, who now lives in the United States.Since the earthquake, C.F.O.H. has worked diligently collecting supplies to send to Haiti in support of the earthquake relief efforts.
Since their 5 -day mission trip in March 2010, C.F.O.H. and its many supporters including individuals and organizations have collected over $5,000 for HOPEH, Inc.
