Chester Upland School District receives donation of soccer gear from West Chester United soccer club

Rob Smith with Philadelphia Union, Principal Michael Adamek, CUSD Board secretary LaKisha Blackwell, Deputy Director of Recreation Brian Warren, CUSD Board President Wanda Mann and Athletic Director Roland Gosselin.

Thanks to the generosity of members and players from the West Chester United Soccer Club, the Chester Upland School District  received a large donation of soccer gear including clothing and cleats, along with soccer balls. The donation was accepted at the Science & Discovery High School by Principal Adamek and Athletic Director  Roland Gosselin along with  members of the CUSD board.

  1. Is there more t the story? I didn't hear about this and my son attends S&D high school daily. Were the clothing and cleats used? I ask because of the pic, the shirt looks used, and when it come s to sports equipment cleanliness is everything and athletes foot can be passsed on.

    This may sound ungrateful but athletes sweat and sweat hard so my concern isn't grattitude it's saftey. But if everything was new....THAT'S GREAT!

  2. The lady's son attends the school and did not know about the soccer donations? Where were the other school district principals? Where is the soccer team? Who are the coaches? What kind of support is the school district giving?? Another boondoggle...
