Chester, PA – With anticipation growing for the 2010 Chester Riverfront Ramble this weekend, thousands are expected to come out for a day of fun and quality entertainment on Saturday, September 18, 2010 on the Chester waterfront at the Wharf at Rivertown.
With the acclaimed R&B sensation, the Whispers as the headliner act, there will also be performances by other well-known jazz and gospel artists including Gospel Disciples, Warren Moore, WDAS’s Butter Ball Oldies Dance Party, Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, Special Blends, Raising Kane, and culminating with a group that “Just Gets Better with Time” the Whispers. The event is free and open to the public.
Kicking off at 12 noon, the Chester Riverfront Ramble will feature more than 40 vendors, including some of the region’s best barbeque and soul food along with unique and enticing crafts. Featuring a larger than ever children’s area with a trackless train, moon bounces and inflatables and kids stage, there will also be golf, soccer and basketball games, a car show, health pavilion, and Amish Farmers Market.
“Every year thousands come to Chester for good food, quality entertainment and live music,” said Mayor Wendell N. Butler, Jr. “As one of the best places in the entire region to see and interact with the Delaware River, the Chester waterfront provides a perfect venue for this festive occasion and promises a day of fun for the whole family.”

Please be advised that NO EVENTS will take place in PPL Park. The Ramble will be held near the Wharf at Rivertown, where it was held last year. Next year will be a totally different experience.
