Pennsylvania’s Largest K-8 Charter School to Host Teen Summit for Students

Chester, PA., May 1, 2014 – On Friday, May 2, 2014, approximately 300 seventh and eighth-grade students of Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, will take part in a “Teen Summit”-style forum, where they will discuss their feelings and opinions on challenges and social issues faced at school, home and in their community. Grammy Award-nominated producer/songwriter Carvin Haggins will serve as a guest panelist, detailing his career path and rise to success. Topics of discussion will include building confidence, anti-bullying issues, gaining respect, and social media conflict resolution. 

The event is hosted and presented by the Chester Community Charter PTA and the Phenomenal Youth Organization, a local foundation whose mission is to empower children and young adults with knowledge and confidence, to enable them to make good decisions.
