Chester (14-4, 6-2) get knocked out of first place in the Del Val with a 62-73 defeat at the hands of the Interboro Buccaneers. This marks the first lost to Interboro since 1978.
With Chester still trailing at 1:44 in the 3rd, Tyrell Sturdivant scored to cut the lead to 53-35 and became the 29th member of Chester's 1000 Point Club. Tyrell finished the night with 25 points and another double double having grabbed 15 rebounds. The Clippers made a push in the final quarter but the hole they dug for themselves was too deep. Chester managed to outscore the Bucs 25-13 but it was not enough.
Chester will return to action tomorrow night to complete the rescheduled Academy Park game.
