Chester, PA., December 20, 2013 – Approximately 3,200 students of Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, recently took part in the 15th Annual Santa Brigade program, where each student, on East, West, and Upland campuses, received personalized gifts for the holiday season.

Students in kindergarten and first grade were visited by Santa Claus, who hand-delivered gifts, with the assistance of Dr. David Clark, CEO, and CCCS staff and faculty. Second-through-eighth grade students also received gifts, and participated in parties in their classrooms, in celebration of the Season of Giving. Chester Community Charter School teachers shopped for, wrapped, and individually labeled each present for their students.

Dr. Clark said, “Our community struggles, at times, so the Santa Brigade program provides a little bit of cheer to our students. The donation from Vahan and Danielle Gureghian ensures that each and every Chester Community Charter School student has a joyous holiday season.”

The Gureghians, of CSMI, LLC, donated approximately $55,800 for the cost of gifts. The Santa Brigade program began in 1999, and, since then, more than 10,000 Chester Community Charter School students have received gifts.
