Take Charge of Your Health at Crozer Library
Stop by J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St. in Chester, on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. to “Take Charge of Your Health.” Learn what to do before, during and after visiting the doctor to be informed about your health. Generously provided by Gateway Health Plan.

Learn to Start a Non-Profit at Crozer Library
Join J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St. in Chester, for “How to Start a Non-Profit” 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. This interactive session led by Ms. Tinesar Forrest, MPA of Ty Enterprise, LLC will help you determine if you should start a nonprofit and provide the necessary steps for success. This workshop is best suited for those who are new to the nonprofit arena or need support as they prepare to launch their vision. Seating is limited.

STEM Workshop for Parents at Crozer Library
Parents of school-aged children are invited to attend a two-hour academic and career coaching workshop, “Encourage STEM Learning, Achieving STEM Success: An Interactive Education Workshop for Parents” on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St. in Chester. Topics include focus areas for educational success; how to create an educational plan; how to have the “ambitions” conversation with your child; and available support for your child’s educational plan. Advance registration is required. The workshop fee is $5 in advance or $10 without registration at the door.

New Ways with Greens at Crozer
Join J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St. in Chester, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 as education Specialist Helen Nadel of Greener Partners leads a cooking and nutrition workshop.“New Ways with Greens” will look at several greens and share fun recipes, like massaged collard green salad and sautéed collards with caramelized onions and orange. Be prepared to taste test!

Financial Know-How for Youth at Crozer
Youth Financial Education is the focus this September at J. Lewis Crozer Library, 620 Engle St. in Chester. Join us for any or all of these sessions for teens, especially suited for high school juniors and seniors, provided by CLARIFI:
  • Goal Setting and Decision Making – 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13
  • Show Me My Money – 6-7:30p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19
  • Paying for College – 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26
This program is part of MoneySmart, a cooperative program with the Delaware County Library System and the Library Foundation of Delaware County. It is made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation and the American Library Association.
