The one point they do raise is that the city is only responsible for only 5% of the costs - far less than what was originally mentioned, probably thanks to the Obama money that is causing infrastructure improvements all over the country.
My guess is that will cost the city between a quarter and half a million dollars.
As the Daily Times states:
...there’s one thing you can be 100 percent sure about: The Lloyd Street Bridge won’t be open anytime soon.
This is a outrage, this bridge is a complete eye soarand a danger to the community. there are opened panels on the bridge big enough for a small child to fall through and to add more danger the train power line right there in plain sight, what is it going to take for who ever to fix this bridge do e need somebodies child to get killed and be plasterd all over the news, then again when those young boys were drowned at 9th and Penn st some years ago the city didn't do anything about it either. I'm not going to stop talking about this and reportying it to the news every chance I get this bridge needs to be fix and fixed NOW!!!........Lamnont2086
ReplyDeleteAgreed whole heartily,I've grown up using that bridge. It makes no sense that u hv to either take Kerlin St. or Tilgman St to get toLloyd ,its a disgrace and humility to us. If it was a direct direction to get to that Casino,it would've been fixed, DISGUSTED.
