Chester gets new fire fighters


Hon. Mayor John A. Linder, Chester City Council, and Chester City Fire Commissioner James Johnson will swear in nine new apprentice Firefighters to the Chester City Bureau of Fire during their regular public council meeting this evening at 7PM inside Chester City Hall.
  
These apprentices graduated today from the Philadelphia Fire Academy along with one hundred sixty five new firefighters of the 186th and 187th Fire Cadet classes and the 31st fire service paramedic class during commencement ceremonies held at the University of Pennsylvania Irvin Auditorium. Mayor John Linder and Council accompanied Chester City Fire Personnel and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter to address the graduates. 

Mayor Linder and Council will be available for comment following proceedings this evening.

  1. What ever happened to the unsolved murders of the "Chester Twelve"? Several of those homicides were solved. What about the remaining victims families that want convictions, justice and closure?

    1. That was an Women Of Strength initiative to address insolved cases, just like the most wanted. WOS would be your point of contact and there is a process. Moms worked hard just to get it out there !!!! God bless and I pray more cases are solved.
