Homeless Shelters Need Thanksgiving Help

Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Emergency Shelters of Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) are collecting food donations to help make Thanksgiving a more joyful time for families and individuals that are homeless.

CAADC operates two shelters for families and one for single individuals in Delaware County.  Food donations that would be appreciated include: turkey or ham, instant potatoes, gravy, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, bread or rolls, stuffing and desserts.

A donation of a $10 gift card for a local grocery store would be a great help as well.  Mr. Coleman stated “The holidays are a difficult time to be homeless especially if there are children in the household.  These donations help to make Thanksgiving a little bit better for these families.”

Last year CAADC was able to help provide over 500 meals to its clients at Thanksgiving.  If you are able to help, please deliver your donation to the CAADC Boothwyn Office located at 1414 Meetinghouse Road in Boothwyn, PA 19061 on or before Tuesday, November 20th.

Please contact Robin Mitchell at (610) 891-3996 with any questions.
