Book Bag Give-Away a huge Success

On Sunday, August 26, 2012, The Better Living Center held a soft opening with a Book Bag Give-Away in Chester, PA.  

The Community response was overwhelming with 450 Delaware County residents standing in line as early as 11:30 am for a 2:00 pm start time.  

The BLC gave away over 170 book bags with school supplies.

On September 30, 2012, The Better Living Center (BLC) will have its grand opening and we would like you to be present.  We would also like to invite you to be a sponsor and/or exhibitor at our grand opening.

The Better Living Center is dedicated to providing resources and information that empowers Chester’s residents to do for themselves.   The BLC provides:

• Emergency Food
• An Information Center
• Referrals to Community Resources
• Free Computer Access – Access to the Worldwide Wed
• After School Tutoring
• Information on Healthy Living and Eating

We are seeking non-profits or social service providers that can utilize the space on a weekly basis; or consider an office share arrangement.  We are also seeking donations of cash or in-kind services.
