Graduation night for the dropouts?

I just rode past the site of Chester High School’s graduation to be held later tonight.
What message could we send if we set up as many chairs as there were students when this class started in 9th grade?
How many empty seats would there be? Would that remind us how special the students are who graduate today? Would that remind us how many kids are being left behind?
What would it remind you of?

  1. What makes you think they dropped out. More like transfers out to better school districts.

    1. Good point. Don't set up chairs for those who transferred. Just those that drop out.

I hope you're not suggesting there are no drop outs.

  2. It's great to see that are kids recieving their h.s. diploma , but very disturb to see every year the ratio of young men to women is scary . I hope to see men out do the women just once .
