Chester-Upland saves $200k by taking guns out of schools



CHESTER — The Chester Upland School District is eliminating its police staff in an effort to remove gun-carrying personnel from the district, acting Superintendent Tony Watson said Thursday.
Watson, who joined the district in January, said he did not have any knowledge of an officer ever needing to draw a weapon on a student.
