Chester honors Officer Avery Freeman


The City of Chester and City of Chester Police Department continue to express their heartfelt sorrow in the loss of Chester City Police Officer, Avery Freeman who will be given a full Honor Guard burial for his nearly fifteen years of service to the City of Chester as a Chester City Police Officer. 

His Line of Duty death on April 30th, 2012 followed complications from a critical surgery required following an injury the officer sustained. The City of Chester and Chester City Police respectfully request that the American Flag be flown at half staff at all city facilities in memoriam of Officer Avery Freeman, badge number 225, until after burial services have concluded. 
St. Luke Community Christian Church at 320 Tilghman Street Chester PA 19013, will preside over the viewing on Sunday, May 13th from 3PM to 5PM with a viewing and funeral services on Monday, May 14th beginning at 9AM. A processional following the services will proceed to Chester Rural Cemetery for burial watch services and return to St. Luke Community Christian Church for a memorial fellowship repast.
