Chester gets 2nd radio station

On 6 a. m. Sunday, WPWA 1590 AM kicks off a sixhour block of local programming filled mostly with shows hosted by Chester- area churches.
The station last broadcasted about 5 years ago with Sunday church programming and a talk show hosted by Rod Powell.
WPWA will join Widener’s WDNR 89.5 FM as the second terrestrial radio station in Chester. Chester DJ Master Blaster broadcasts a hiphop/R&B/Old School/Local artist live show Monday through Friday from 10am-2pm on most days on the Widener station. (He's never had any luck getting city officials to come on but the invitation is always open).
