Why we hate Trash Day

Trash collecting has to be ranked as one of the most thankless jobs in America.
As much as we appreciate what they do, they sure can improve in one area.
Please put our trash cans back where you got them from.
Almost every time they come through, they leave the cans in the middle of the alley. It becomes a hassle for people driving through. And since most people are at work, the cans end up all over the place by the time they get home.
Is it really that difficult to toss an empty can back where they got it from?

  1. "Tossing" is the reason they are all over in the first place. They should be "put" or "placed" back in their originating spot.

Garbageman (sorry if that's not officially their title) have little accountability because as you said, homeowners are not home when they come around and no one is following behind them to ensure they are treating people homes with the proper respect that it deserves.

I know it's only a trash can but your right, I shouldn't have the area around my home looking a mess because my trash has been emptied.

    1. I'd rather they toss them back where they got them instead of placing them neatly upside down in the middle of the alley.

Ok, I'd be thrilled if they placed them back where they got them, but I'd settle for a toss back.
