Mayor John Linder puts youth to work

Hon. Mayor John Linder is set to populate the local workplace with ready and able youth of the community.
This past week the Chester City Office of Workforce Development under the direction of Robert Wrease, in partnership with The Chester Youth Collaborative headed by Janet Riley-Ford, held a registration and information session inside Chester City Hall, the purpose of which was to induct students ages sixteen to twenty into a program seeking to place them with more than one hundred employment opportunities.

A packed house of Chester’s future economic driving force took notes and completed applications which will serve as step one in the process.
Mayor Linder added, “There is a greater need for entrepreneurial business experiences. We are filling in these apparent gaps by bringing employers and students together.”
