Chester will have a Mother's Day Parade

According to the Daily Times, the 'somewhat' annual John A. Watts Elks 'day-before' Mother's Day Parade will be Saturday, May 12 at 2pm.

Should you hide the wife, hide the kids?

  3. Chester's Mothers Day Parade has been an annual tradition for years. When Chester was on the chittlin' circuit, the biggest black stars would come to Chester to be part of the parade. Until about 20 years ago, the Chester high school marching band was the parade highlight. In recent years the parade has been very short with no highlights other than drill and step teams. Last year a number of murders around town led city officials to cancel many pubic events including the much anticipated parade.

  4. Mothers day parade lets see fights and everyone is drunk or high. Come watch it is the insight of why this city is out of control. And you get to see the bloods and crips wearing there colors it's a great show. Oh yea wait to you hear all the foul language. There are good mothers out there and you won't see them because they stay away from this crazy parade. If you think this is a mean statement please video tape and then go to all the bars and house parties to watch the fights and listen to the foul language. Happy mothers day to all you mothers out there that are raising these gang bangers drug sellers and this great kids that don't snitch. Keep up the good work. See you at the parade.
