Trayvon Martin rally in Chester planned

The National Congress of Black Women Delco Chapter will spearhead, along with the NAACP, Brothers of Concern, Inc, members of the Clergy, others organizations, the Trayvon Martin Rally in the City of Chester, on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 6pm.

The Martin Rally will take place at Memorial Park located at 7th and Engle Sts, Chester, Pa.

Come and Stand with us as we demand Justice to be Served in this case and also, we'll address the Violence issue in our own City.

Let's Stand together to stop the Violence and Educate rather than Commit Senseless Crimes.

We must believe that Change and Justice can be served across this Nation and in our local community when we Pray and Stand UNITED!!!

  4. It doesn't list the city as being included so how would or is it costing taxpayers? People only need a permit to come together.

  5. Why does everybody hid behind the anonymous moniker? Stand by your statement....is Chester a hot bed for senseless crime? Yes. Is this rally for support for justice for a slain young man a good idea? Yes. Is there a chance for violence? Yes, but should that stop the rally and chance to address it (the problem here in Chester)NO!...it is for a good cause and it gives us and the city officials a chance to address it and listen to the community and maybe come up with something that works...because it takes the community and the Officials to work together....Democrat or Republican

  6. I think it's a great idea! Anytime our city can come together in unity is a great time.

  7. Thank you so much for extending the invitation and appreciate you attending the Wilmington rally. Unfortunately, due to a prior committment, Fred Green are unable to attend the Chester Rally on 4/5/12. We pray that the event is very successful and we will continue to pray that justice is served in the Trayvon Martin case.

  8. On a whole different note.... Chester wake up.... 20 years of nothing from the so called State Rep...... Check out who calls the shot for the mayor behind closed doors... Ron Starr who was put in the game by the State Rep. by marrying his daughter.... Now he's the mayors chief of staff who takes all orders from State Rep.....Chester the change will come from getting him out and do something new.... TINA JOHNSON sure seems like the better choice.

  9. For the record the City of Chester would not grant the young and powerful and much needed Celebrity Host/ U.S. Youth Activist Fred Green a permit to do his Trayvon Martin Rally, but instead invited him to attend. The powers that be at City Hall only want the shine for what they can take and run with. Mayor Butler was by far more considerate to doing things from the heart than some of these money hungry council members.

  10. March, party, hurt each other, litter, sell drugs, get welfare, section eight, and blame others for your problems. March again and again and again. Let the facts come out and worry about your selfs and all the little baby's that are next in line for this great rotation.

  11. It's great when you see the drug dealers get on the band wagon. This city and others like it need to be shut done and get rid of the criminals. Commit a crime and your band from the city........... It has been done before.... Commit a crime and exile them for good. We should be down to 10,000 good hard working folks in know time. Then we can tear down and bring in good people who will build the community instead of taking all the time. I say exile the thugs and the dead beat parents.......

  12. We live in a day and time where it is not wise to put your name out in the public, it maybe because of safety issues!
It is hard to express your views, nowadays!
