Chester City Blog turns 2

This weekend marks the 2 year anniversary of The Chester City Blog.
As we enter into our “Terrible-2s”, we are experiencing a large spike in readership and a huge reduction in submissions.
That means that there are more people checking in and less people providing them with  stuff to read, see, and do.
Don’t fear, I’ll always find something to post. It would be more fun if it came from you.
Here are some of the important stats from the past couple years:

  • 70% of traffic comes from Delcotimes.com
  • Time Per Visit 3:50
  • average Actions 2.5

  • Total Post - 2,240
  • Total Comments - 3,100
  • Page views -300,000

Last 90 Days

  • Visitors 19,500
  • Actions 47,000
  • Time 49 Days 3 hours

Most Visited Pages

  • Delco Most Wanted (6,500) since Nov 2011
  • Basketball (1,900) since Nov 2011

Top 3 Posts

  • Pennsylvania's Next Governor is a Comedian - July 14, 2010 (39,000)
  • Joseph Bail no longer Chief of Police  - Feb 23, 2012 (2,800)
  • Liquid Cocaine sold in Chester Delis - May 23, 2010 (650)
There are going to be a lot of changes this year.

Expect to see a new look to the blog page, a lot more video, a lot more social media involvement, and a new storefront.
I’ve been approached to take this show on the road, so Chester City Blog clones are likely to show up in the most unusual place this summer.
Thanks for your support as I continue to figure out this blogging thing.
