Earlier today, a group of Chester High School students walked out of school and marched to city hall, the state senator’s office, and the state representative’s office (all within 200 feet of each other).
I’m told State Representative Thaddeus Kirkland came out and told the kids to go back to school.
That is a totally different response to the group of students who marched on the school administration building last September. Back then he said he supported them and told them how they reminded him of himself during his protest days and encouraged them to fight for what they believed in while giving a speech alongside the NAACP.
Telling the kids to go back to school was probably the right response. Hopefully it was coupled with his commitment to do everything in his power as state rep to keep them in school. I wasn’t told that he said anything about that.
Apparently, the state senator’s office was empty, and I don’t know how city hall responded.
They fired hard working people....

ReplyDeleteIt's uncertain where those school funds went. But God c's everything and those will be held accountable.........
ReplyDeleteNice video of the honorable state rep yelling "shut up" to a group of students. 18+ years of fighting by the state rep for "us" in Harrisburg has been really productive hasn't it?
