  1. It is nice to see other forms of music instead of the usual, "rap, buss a cap in yo a##," that is displayed constantly in the city. I heard the piano player last summer and it was pleasing to the soul, great post!!

  2. What do you mean by displayed?

Andre's is the only venue dedicated to presenting great live music.

It would be nice if the rappers had a place to show off their skills like the old Five Spot in Philly.

  3. Meaning that how the lyrics takes on a mind of it's own when I hear the youth repeat certain artists' words, bang this, AK that, spray your block, pop your top (head); words like that.

    1. Gotcha.

It just gave me an excuse to make a plug for creating some place for our youth to perform. The arts are so lacking around here...gangsta rap or otherwise.
