Did you know, or do you remember, that many Chester residents were upset about the choice to name the bridge for the little-known Commodore John Barry as opposed to William Penn?
However, one Chester resident Dennis Sullivan was happy about Barry’s appointment as namesake as he read that Barry did indeed have several ties to Chester, Pa., as well as to the river.
