  3. How the hell did Elizabeth pull that off after that disaterous showing at the debate. I thought she would be the only one who would lose or at least make it in barely. She got landslide status. Nonetheless, the people had their say. Now lets go and keep moving in the right direction.

  6. Elizabeth pulled if off because the people of Chester voted for her. By the way, curse words are generally used by ignorant people. Look in the mirror before you judge.

  11. Good luck. Elisebeth Williams uneducated now in control of city fiances. What a disgrace!!! Remeber the last time the Dems were in control. Unbelievable!!! My prediction is that they are going to run the city into the ground. I will come back in a year in 2years to say I told you so. The city is now the outcast of Delaware county and you think the educated players out there are going to play ball with this group? And the only reason they won was because of the regestration when our president was elected. Miss. Williams are you kidding me compare her education with the lady that is now the controller. Good luck, and enjoy what you asked for because you got what you voted for.

  15. I cannot help but look at the numbers of Chester's votes from the county-wide positions and scoff. It appears as if everyone voted simply for party versus the candidates themselves - a dangerous move in my opinion.

I cannot blame the people for criticizing the elect-canidates; I mean, honestly: Somebody who is only a quarter of a way through his life; an uneducated controller and a woman who would not be taken elsewhere. The only qualified one being Linder himself.

They're going to have a lot to prove to keep my vote - and citizenship. Quite frankly I hate both parties equally, notice how I never put anybody on a pedestal?

January is going to be interesting, as are the future elections. Noting good comes out of voting just for straight party all the time.

  16. The same effort everyone is planning on giving the new adm should have been the same effort you gave the last adm. If you want a better Chester it does not matter if you are Dem or Rep. This community is funny, now the city will come back John is going to bring back jobs from oversees, everyones child is going to read on their reading level, He going to have a magnet and all the guns will come right to him now and out of the hands of the criminals. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING TOGETHER IF WE WANTED A BETTER CHESTER. Please dont respond that Mayor Butler didnt want your help.

  17. I’m sorry but I could not for Ms. Blackwell. She has no education and work in experience in financial. How can being the controller with not one of the two???? It should be some type of standard for position like that. I couldn’t vote for neither candidate for Controller. I’m going to run next time.

Congrats to my brother Cephus Richardson for his win….

  19. I understand that the citizens wanted change but I do not think that having people that are unqualified is not the change you will want to make.

I wish that Chester residents knew how to split the vote and vote for the better qualified candidates(in my opinion). I have voted cross party since i was old enough to vote and always tried to make a good decision based on qualifications.

I hope that the concern I have is unwarranted but if not it will only be one term hopefully for some of them.
