Reality Tour tells the truth about DRUGS

MEDIA, PA — Holcomb Behavioral Health System and the Weed and Seed program in Upper Darby are excited to present today's youth, and their parents, with a moving demonstration about the truth about what drugs can and WILL do to you if you decide to take that path.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 12.7% of deaths in Pennsylvania are due to drug overdose. The Reality Tour shows the day in the life of a drug addict, following a teen through when they were first pressured into using drugs, to getting arrested, and to where they eventually overdose and die. This moving and effective tour is coming to Delaware County! This event is for youth ages 10 to 18 and their parents.
Speakers including local police officers, representatives from Narcotics Anonymous, and Probation Officers will talk to youth about the dangers of drugs. Through dramatic scenes, the Reality Tour showcases the consequences of how one decision to use can affect one's entire life. Attendees will also participate in an interactive Q&A with Law Enforcement.
The Reality Tour is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Primos Library, located at 409 Ashland Ave., Primos, PA 19018.

The cost is $5.00 per child and is open to youth in 5th to 12th grade. All children MUST be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian. Registration is first come, first serve, and there is a maximum of 40 people, so be sure to register as soon as possible! For more information or to register, please call us at 484-444-0412.
Reality Tour is hosted by: Weed & Seed of Upper Darby Township, Upper Darby Township, Delaware County District Attorney, Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, Primos Fire Department, Primos Library, Secane District Court, and the Upper Darby Township Police.
