Tyreke Evans and VSP Vision Care Bring
Mobile Eyecare Clinic Back to Chester

Tyreke Evans and his stunt double Stefan Roots

VSP® Vision Care and 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year and Chester native Tyreke Evans will be returning to Chester for the second year in a row to provide no-cost comprehensive eye exams and glasses to eligible students at three local schools.
The three day visit to three of Chester’s schools will promote the importance of eyecare for the success of students.
Tyreke Evans is committed to giving back to the community he grew up in and is partnering with VSP to provide eye exams and glasses to students in need.
As children return back to school, healthy vision is essential to help them achieve their academic potential. It has been estimated that as much as 80 percent of what a child learns is through his or her eyes and more than 60 percent of children with learning problems have undiagnosed vision problems.
Some of the highlights of his visit will be Tyreke interact with students while they receive free eye exams and select eye glasses. And, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Chester Mayor Wendell Butler are scheduled to attend the Tuesday, September 13th event at Chester High School. Also, VSP will bring back their 41-foot mobile eye exam clinic.
This is a Media Only Event. It is a student program and not open to the public.

Check out the C-CityBlogger video from Tyreke's visit last year if you missed it.
