Power Home Remodeling Hosts 5K for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Power Home Remodeling Group — the nation’s fourth largest home remodeling company — is hosting the first-ever Power Run 5K in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) this Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA. Power, in conjunction with Alex’s parents Liz and Jay Scott, welcomes the local community to participate in the Power Run, joining their commitment to ALSF and families of children affected by pediatric cancer.

The Power Run is just one of several fundraising initiatives the company will hold this year as a national corporate sponsor of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), one of the leading foundations for pediatric cancer, having raised more than $40 million and funded more than 150 cutting-edge research projects.

Since announcing the partnership in April, Power has committed to donate one dollar per window, per square foot of siding and per square foot of roofing installed throughout the year in an effort to raise awareness of pediatric cancer within each of the markets Power offers home improvement services. In 2010, Power installed energy-saving and environmentally friendly solutions to more than 14,000 homes, totaling $132 million in sales and is on track to donate at least $300,000 to ALSF in 2011.
In addition, the company has set up Alex’s Lemonade Stands at its corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania, as well as its five satellite office locations in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Massachusetts, while encouraging its 1,100 employees to host their own lemonade stands at home.
