Swarthmore donates to Crozer Library

New GED and Adult New Reader Books at Crozer Library Thanks to Rotary Club of Swarthmore
Chester, PA — August 19 — The J. Lewis Crozer Library would like to thank the Rotary Club of Swarthmore for its recent donation of $600.
Working in collaboration with the Delaware County Literacy Council, the J. Lewis Crozer Library used this donation to purchase GED skills books and fiction titles for our Adult New Reader collection.

The GED books will augment the library’s collection as it hosts a GED class offered by the Delaware County Community College this fall. Students in the class will have the opportunity to use these books to continue their studies both in and outside of the classroom.
All library patrons will be able to borrow the GED books. The fiction titles feature novels by well known authors with simple language and short sentences. These books are easier to read than standard adult fiction, but are still written at an adult level for mature library patrons working to improve their literacy skills.
We are very pleased to be able to offer these resources to the Chester community.

The J. Lewis Crozer Library is truly grateful for the Rotary Club of Swarthmore’s generosity and support.
