FREE SCHOOL UNIFORM Giveaway seeks Donors

School uniforms ensures that children come to school in appropriate clothing, decreases fighting and violence that arrises out of arguments over fashionable clothes, and help students take school more seriously.

Despite the fact that school uniforms are economical compared to designer clothing, some parents still can’t afford to purchase them in time for school.

Some children stay home from school because they don’t have a uniform and some face harassment when they come to school without their uniforms.

The organizers of the Unity in the Community March on August 27 in Chester want to give needy families FREE UNIFORMS.

Here’s how it works...

To be eligible to enter the raffle for FREE UNIFORMS, parents must attend a 3 hour workshop series on Bullying, Attendance/Tardiness, and Life Skills. For your convenience, they have scheduled four time slots for the workshops: August 22 and 23 at 1:30pm and 5:30pm. 

The organizers had hoped to receive a corporate donation for the FREE UNIFORM event, but as of this moment, no company has stepped up.

So, in the spirit of community and our collective interests in helping our neighbors who are not so fortunate, Concerned Citizens of Chester are gathering donations to purchase uniforms for the give away.

Please donate your check or money order to Concerned Citizens of Chester and mail them to P.O. Box 1148, Chester, PA 19016 buy August 20.
