I'm on TV tonight

I'm sure you all saw our mayor and police chief on LIVE FROM THE NEWSROOM, the Daily Times' internet TV show, a couple weeks ago.

Tonight it's my turn.

Tune in to www.Delcotimes.com at 7pm as I field questions about the joys and challenges of publishing The Chester City Blog.

  3. Stefan, I would like for you to clarify something for me. Can you live in the projects, pay no taxes, and be elected to office. I just found out that some of the elected officials in Chester don't have any education and some of them are living off of tax payers. How can you live in the projects as an elected official. This should be for people that really need low income. These people are a trip in City Hall miseducated and misinformed. Who are the kids supposed to look up to. What are we teaching our kids if elected officials can't be role models. I am really upset about this if it is true. I really need to know because we hopeless as a city if this is the case. I am not talking down about being from the projects, but I don't know how they let elected officials live in the project. Can you let me know because they need to stop taking advantage of the system.

  4. I do not know if there are city officials living in the projects. I also do not know what the income guidelines are for those living in the projects.

I do know that city officials do not make a lot of money so they may still qualify for public housing.

Education is certainly not a requirement for being elected. It is all about number of votes they receive at election time.

With so many Chester residents impoverished and uneducated, it seems only fitting that our elected officals may be from those same ranks.

It all comes down to how they perform. That will determine their legacy as a role model.

  5. Congratulations, Stefan!

What I would like to know is: How do we call in an anonymous tip to the police department in an emergency?

I'm up at 5:00 a.m. right now because i was awakened at 4:00 am by the sounds of somebody trying to creep through the back alley ways between Nolan and Swarts Street.

For the past hour, I've been trying to anonymously call the police at 610-447-7931 using my IP phone so that my call could be anonymous but apparently there's no option on the police administration phone to be transferred to local 911.

Anyway, since the city spends so much money on personnel, it would be nice if they'd spend a little time helping us to help them....help us.
