REVISED: Philabundance Meeting at Chester City Hall Tuesday

There will be a very crucial meeting regarding the issue of a supermarket for the City of Chester.  The meeting will be at the City Hall City Council Meeting Room on Tuesday, March 15th 6:00pm.

The issue is they want to give $100,000 to Philabundance, a glorified food pantry, to serve as a supermarket for Chester.  This organization basically solicits food from multiple sources and receives the food for FREE and then SELLS this second hand food they received to food  pantries around the city, in which the pantries give out the food for FREE.
This is extortion and it has to stop!!
45% of the families in the City Chester are being helped by the food pantries around the city, and that is a tragedy in its self, but the residence of Chester deserve to have the same quality of food sources as any other city or town and we will NOT stand by and let this happen.
Come out and let your voices be heard!

P.S. So that we're all clear, this posting is a submission from a Chester resident. The Chester City Blog is in no way associated with the organization of this meeting.
