Nearly Half of All Black College Students have never had a Black Professor

In my four years at Villanova, there were a few black professors on campus but none in the engineering school.
However, I did take one religion class with a black professor. I wish I could remember his name, but I do remember the class -- African Traditional Religions. And, I remember the text was ‘Introduction to African Religions - First Edition’, written by John Mbiti.
I loved that class and held on to the book for many years. I think I may buy the new edition.
For those of you who attended non-black colleges and universities, share your experience with black professors.
