Chester beats Academy Park by 51 - by mistake

Lamon Church became the 25 member
of the boy's 1000 point club last night

Coaches barked orders not to shoot that last layup that made for the over-50 victory, but the  wide open shot was too hard for one of our players to resist.
Not a pretty night at the Clip-Joint last evening. The crowd was sparse and never engaged. The only spirit in the gym came from the Chester cheerleaders, although I can hardly ever make out what they’re saying.
Both teams seemed not to care what was going on and neither coaching staff pushed the issue.
Even the refs allowed Chester to do their constant bumping and reaching, and only called the most egregious fouls.
Besides seeing Lamon Church score his 1000th point, the highlight of the night was the baked goods being sold in the lobby. They were delicious.
What ever happened to all the good ballers that used to be on the Sharon Hill / Darby Township playgrounds when I was in high school? Academy Park hasn’t been good for a while. With only one layup and one foul shot made in the first quarter, the game should have ended then.

I agree...very dry game! I'm glad I was working the concession stand for the most part. And the comment about the cheerleaders...Ha! Couldn't be more true!
