Seniors in the co-op program in he School of Hospitality Management at Widener University, go together this week to prepare a Thanksgiving feast for the Salvation Army. The students who participated are not only full-time students, but they are also working at their co-ops full time.
This is the fifth year students that participate in Professor Joy Dickerson’s leadership course have joined together to prepare a meal for 100 people. “They did everything themselves,” Dickerson said. “They paid for everything and they have prepared everything you can think of from stuffing and vegetables to the turkey and pumpkin pie.”
Students delivered the food this afternoon.
