Chester Upland School Board President Wanda Mann said Thursday the board hopes to fill its vacancy at its action meeting next week.
Mann said Upland is still in the process of selecting a candidate to fill the void left by Francis Kamp, who resigned last month, but that a candidate should be ready to be sworn in next week.
The board also will decide whether it will renew contracts with Widener Partnership Charter and Chester Community Charter schools and vote to approve $146,450 in renovation change orders for the Science and Discovery High School at the former Showalter building.
