Chester native heads Veteran Outreach program

I am reaching out to you to inform you about a new initiative that has begun in the City of Chester, "Project Veteran Outreach".

This is an outreach to veterans of all types and eras in the City of Chester and surrounding 6 boroughs to get them the community support they need in an effort to help empower them for success. 

I am currently working closely with various leaders from Chester and surrounding areas on this project and one of the programs that we plan on rolling out on November 9, 2010 is titled Peer Connect. 

This is a peer to peer support group for Iraq/Afghanistan veterans. 

Heroes Today (http://heroestoday.org) is a 501c3 charitable organization that has been operating in Pittsburgh PA on a grassroots level since July 2008. 

I am a native of the City of Chester and also a Iraq veteran with 16 years military service. My objective is to have a service center based in Chester for the veterans in this area.
