Widener SBDC Offers Free Seminar to Help Businesses Find Government Procurement Opportunities

Chester, Pa. (Oct. 8, 2010) –The U.S. government distributes millions of dollars in contracts a day. Why not get your business a piece of the pie? Learn how at a FREE seminar offered by the Widener University Small Business Development Center to help you find and secure government contracts. Held Thursday, Oct. 21, the seminar will run from 6-9 p.m. at the Widener SBDC, 1350 Edgmont Ave., Suite 1300, Chester, Pa. 
Content will include the following: how the classification of goods and services impacts market research, how procurement mechanisms impact market decisions, tips for using procurement history and forecasts for market research, steps for performing market research using primary federal procurement sites, and insight on finding subcontracting and state government opportunities.

This seminar is designed for individuals whose company has registered with the Central Contractor Register to qualify for government work yet want to develop or refine skills for finding new opportunities.
