4-H Archery Club Seeks New Members

The 4-H Archery Program will be reorganizing for the 2010-2011 season on Monday November 8 at Middletown Archery, 127 Barren Road, Media. Boys and girls ages 8-18 as of 1/1/10 are invited to join, regardless of experience level. Taught by experienced archer, Grace Gilbert, the club will meet every Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. through April 2011. The cost for the program is $10 per week,
payable to Middletown Archery, which includes the use of the equipment, facilities and instruction. You pay only for the times that you attend. Prior to joining the club, all new members who have not shot at Middletown before, must schedule a private lesson with Grace, for $25. Her number there is 610-566-8092. There will also be a $5 membership fee to join the Middletown Archery Club, beginning in January 2011.

All members, old and new, must register to participate in the 4-H Archery club. Please call or e-mail Helaine Brown, 4-H Educator, at 610-690-2655 or hxb1@psu.edu and we’ll send you a registration packet. Registration is on a first come basis and enrollment is limited. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Archers are also invited to participate in the annual regional 4-H shooting sports tournament in the spring, where there are age categories to accommodate all members. Everyone has a good time and receives recognition.
