Anthony Irving is the new principal of Columbus school and interviews will be held next week for an assistant principal and a principal for Toby Farms school.
I hope the board already has someone in mind for these positions and hires them on the spot because school starts in 2 weeks, a tad late to start an interview process for positions that I assume has a number of applicants and would normally require second and third interviews to find the best candidate.

OMG!!! What a farce!!!
ReplyDeleteNo need to worry about this one Stefan. It's in the bag. It's a "who you know" and "who can give the job to" process. Come again? That's not fair? LoL
ReplyDeleteLawd, Lawd, Lawd. Lmao
ReplyDeleteWhat does the fact that school is about to begin in 2 weeks have anything to do with anything? It's just SSDD with the CUSD - we've been in this situation before (trying to find a principal right before school starts).
ReplyDeleteI wish we had more details. What's the likelyhood of 2 prinicpals and an assistant principle resigning right before school starts? CUSD must have been devastated when they got the news. When did they post for the positions? How many people will be interviewed? Are they promoting from within or bringing in more new blood? If from within, do they have to post for additional vacancies? I hope they use this blog to keep y'all posted on their decisions and other district happenings.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very hot topic. We all would like to know the answers to your questions. The people who resigned must know something we don't or maybe we do know. I am sure they will pick whoever they want for the job. The past Superintendents brought "new blood" in all over the place but they never last because they did not work well with Chester's children. They come in with superior attitudes against everybody. People "from within" have plenty of experiences and education. Whatever CUSD chooses to do will end up being an unfair procedure somehow.
ReplyDeleteI guess getting postings from them will be icing on the cake for you. Good luck!
Education should be a hot topic.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is for Chester. Any information provided is for the community's benefit, not mine. I work for free.
Free vs. Notoriety
ReplyDeleteLOL. Notoriety? I got far more attention as a 12 year old Biddy League All-star.
ReplyDeleteWhen Sam & Sam starts accepting notoriety it might mean something.
Another KICK in the face to the children and their futures of CHESTER! We work with many cognitive therorists argue that learning is a social event, to improve students' chance for academinc success, educators must strive to form meaningful personal relationship with students and parents Danyel Jennings it is a must come together.. ReplyDeleteI am in need of help for my kids supplies do you have any idea how I can get help with this, this year is real bad for me laid off....PLEASE ANY INFO WILL BE GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried City Team?
ReplyDeleteI will try that, thank you so much also one of my kids teacher is going to help me out my God Bless ..... Great I will try there!
ReplyDeleteMy son told me the reason he doesnt like school is because when he reaches out for help the teachers shuns him away, but when he acts out they pay attention.
ReplyDeleteThere is plenty of blame to pass around. The educational system in Chester has been troubled for many years. Does it really matter who did what, who knows who, etc?
ReplyDeleteIt's time to end the blame game.
What we need is to work together. Superintendents, principals, teachers, parents, children, and all community members.
Our circumstances are not perfect, but we can turn the tide.
What would a successful school look like to you?
What would have to happen to make it a reality?
(Remember, no blaming...just positive planning for the future.)
It is very hard for me to believe that people are still responding to this particular blog.
ReplyDeleteVery idealistic comment but that ain't happening in this place. They would have to start with the truth. They don't have a clue what that is.
