This week, Dr. Howell Ira Strauss, a resident of Chester, Pennsylvania, is receiving a national award for his years of dedicated work in HIV/AIDS at the 2010 Ryan White Grantee Meeting and 13th Annual Clinical Conference being held in Washington, DC.
Strauss is the Executive Director, dentist, and grant writer for the AIDS Care group. The AIDS Care Group is the largest HIV/AIDS service organization in the Chester/Delaware county area. The group is partially funded by multiple Ryan White Foundation funding streams. www.aidscaregroup.org
Strauss is being recognized for his leadership and accomplishments working tirelessly for the HIV/AIDS community which has benefitted thousands in your area. (For example, the AIDS Care Group, provides care and/or services for 1,200 clients; another 11,000 county residents have been tested for HIV; provides 1,200 meals monthly).
