Anonymous bloggers beware. You may not be as anonymous as you think.

  1. What happened to our first amendment rights, freedom of speech? Of course, I don't think you should defame anyone or cause them to lose their reputation. Most of the time people end up doing that all on their own. I have written comments under anonymous and my initials. I still have the same things to say. Most of the time, it is just easier to click anonymous. I am not afraid to say who I am. I know I am not defaming anyone or causing them to lose their reputation. If their reputation is solid, nothing is going to touch it.

    If you put a blog out there with choices to identify yourself with, I have a right to make appropriate comments that relates to the blog. If I need to defend my anonymity in court, I would have to know why I was offered these choices in the first place.

    After all, isn't it more interesting to have comments at all?

  2. Let me remind you. You do have the power to delete. If you don't want to share it, you shouldn't post it. Anonymous bloggers shouldn't matter if we can't read it. You have censorship at the touch of a button.
