The Achievement Project presents executive from the U.S. Department of Education

pastedGraphic.pdfThe Achievement Project (TAP) sponsors a community Outreach Event entitled ‘From the Grassroots Up: Community Based Organizations As Agents for Change’ on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Widener University Center Webb Room on 14th and Chestnut Streets, Chester, PA. from 8:30AM -  4:30 PM
The chief presenter is Mr. Alberto Retana, Director of Community Outreach for the U.S. Department of Education.  Mr. Retana has led several community driven campaigns that resulted in millions of dollars for South Los Angels Schools, a college preparatory curriculum for all students in Los Angels Unified School District and the creation of rigorous college and career academies.
Mr. Retana will be available for a press conference:  3PM – 4:30PM
