John Linder on State of Emergency

1 comment:

  1. I hope that the statement on the state of emergency was not something that had to be written beforehand...whew, talk about trying to put the right words together in a statement so as to not put yourself out there on a spot!!!
He mentioned that the top has to speak. Well, our mayor did. No one else but the mayor!! Then Linder went on to say that he learned about the mayor's decision after the state of emergency was enforced. And that to look back now in hindsight....well, here is where the supposed experts come in. Linder does not want to criticize the plan now. He wants a more comprehensive approach. OK. So why was that approach not taken 2,3,4, or more murders ago???? So, councilman Linder, just what is your approach or solution to be instituted?
When was he or the other council members going to take some responsibility to solve the issues? Goodness, the superintendent of police in upper darby is always responding to the people, taking part in arrets, and having arrests made daily. Chester has an infant shot and nobody seems to give a damn to help identify the person(s) responsible.
And not to ramble on more, how about the drug deals that were going on between second street and the waterfront drive down Highland Avenue during the course of the soccer game last week? All those persons sitting on those steps were not there reading the Sunday newspapers or having viable problem solving conversations!! Can this be stopped?
