  1. Stefan,

A solution is applying for the Paul Coverdell Act and actually processing forensics or the Debbie Smith grant. I do not understand why a reporter can not ask the question regarding a crime lab. How are we tracing guns? each gun has a story and for some reason or another we do not care to hear what it is saying. Getting guns off the street is one thing, however finding out where they are coming from and if the gun was used in a crime is another. WE
    WANT A CRIME LAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. We have to keep this in perspective and positive. We can't be naysayers all the time. Chester is trying to get its act together.

  3. Stefan,

I believe spending extra monies examining guns through a crime lab isn't priority. I was amazed to hear there will be a gun buy back program enacted. Finally THANKS! Last, Chester needs to spend money and installed cameras at all of the traffic lights. The type that goes up 20 feet through a medal post and has two cameras zoomed down towards the street. You'd be amazed at what these cameras capture and the look of the face of the criminal is one of "I'm sorry" and not "I didn't do it". This isn't a "Big Brother" watching dilemmna considering the lives being lost at a rapid rate.

  4. Did I hear right that the State of Emergency is back on after this recent incident? These people just won't give themselves a chance. Is Chester going to be in a permanent "Police State"? Did the criminals declare a truce during the State of Emergency? Once it was lifted was it game on?

  5. Stefan,

You do not have to spend extra money examining guns, all you have to do is apply for the grant money through these grants is to find out where they are coming from. This must be a priority a crime lab is not just for guns . you can process rape kits, roberries, car theft etc. I am for the cameras to, cameras helped with the William Trippley case. We want a collobration of things.

  6. I feel that your suggestion about the installation of cameras in certain areas is the major step towards stopping crime. I don't understand why there are no steps taken to stop crime in our city. We certainly need more police officers. All of the service men that came home from the war should be dispatched to all public schools in each class room in order to control the violence in our school. This way all service men will have a job instead of coming home to no job after fighting for this country. What a shame.

    1. Do cameras really stop crime?
You don't believe anyone is fighting crime?
Don't we have the max number of cops we can hire?
What company will these soldiers be "dispatched" from?
Do you really want men right home from war to be confined to a building full of kids? Your kids?
