Blacks and Money - 5 Things that Keep Black People Poor -

In my book, ‘Black Industrialist-The Melvin Wade Story’, on pages 111 & 112 Mr. Wade says, “Black economics are way out of whack. Blacks have got to learn how to make money. Most Black people make a living. They still don’t know nothing about money or this capitalistic system. They’re always broke. They have been so poor for so long it’s hard for them to relate to a Black that’s not real poor.”
Rolling Out magazine states that, there are many reasons African Americans are poorer than other ethnicities. Poverty rates for blacks greatly exceed the national average, and can be directly connected to racism that has plagued blacks for generations. In 2008, 24.7 percent of blacks were categorized as poor, compared to 8.6 percent of non-Hispanic whites and 11.8 percent of Asians.
