Art Sanctuary Summer Arts Program

Art Sanctuary introduces its first ever Summer Arts Leadership Camp, August 16 to August 22, 2010 for rising 7th to rising 10th graders. The goal of the camp is to show students ways to use the arts as a tool for empowerment, leadership and activism.
We have limited space available, so we encourage you to register students as soon as possible.
The deadline is Wednesday, August 11th!
Students will come to a 5-day day camp and take arts classes in playwriting, visual arts and cooking. Our instructors include artist Gregory Prestegord, Art Sanctuary's founder, executive director, and author Lorene Cary, playwright/director/teacher Ed Shockley, and activist/organizer/educator Celeste O. Faison.
The week will culminate in a three-day retreat for the students at Chamounix Mansion (pronounced CHAM'-ah-nee).

Students can choose to attend the weekday program and the leadership retreat
or sign up for just the day camp.
*Students must participate in the week-long program in order to attend the weekend retreat.
