PPL Park, the new home of the Major League Soccer team Philadelphia Union, opened its doors to season-ticket holders for a World Cup viewing party Saturday. The game was broadcast live on the stadium’s big screen.
“It’s a beautiful stadium. It meets or beats our expectations,” said Philadelphia resident Joe Christinzio, 38. “It’s fantastic. Beautiful turf, every seat is a good seat. You really can’t ask for anything more.”
